Pan's Labirynth

This movie can only be described with one word; reallyamazingyoumustseeititwaswonderfulilovedeveryminuetofit.

When I began watching it, I was expecting to be seeing a generic movie in which a young girl is whisked off to a magical land by fairies. We all heard those types of stories before, so what could possibly be different about this one? Well, everything.

First off, the movie isn't just about the girl and her tasks at hand set upon her by the faun she meets in the beginning, it also included a story about how a rebellion was being staged against the government, and the girl's sadistic stepfather in Spain. The two stories were incorperated very well into each other. The movie also had memorable characters. Even though the faun only gets a few minuets of screen time, he is extremely memorable. I just adored him. Another favourite character of mine was Mercedes, a maid that was part of the secret rebellion. I also liked the white creature that was... in her wall.

It was a beautiful movie. I must get the soundtrack to it as well. It had a lovely score accompanying it.

All in all, I'd give this film a bajillion out of ten. It's one of my favourites. <3
